Dazzling ring becomes cover model

Diamonds with a clear, natural color are rare; only 1 in 10,000 carats belong to this category. When such a highly sought-after gemstone has an intense color, we call it 'fancy'. No wonder Jacco Scheper of Heritage Auctions Europe was amazed when a Dutch owner offered such a diamond as part of a dazzlingly beautiful piece of jewelry.

Precious piece

The yellow diamond is set in gold and flanked by two white diamonds on a platinum ring. The large yellow diamond weighs more than 25 carats and is so intensely colored that it was labeled 'fancy vivid'. Scheper advised the consigner to sell the rare piece of jewelry through the Heritage Auctions office in the United States. It has the largest reach worldwide, also among the target group that can afford such precious pieces.

On the cover 

The beautiful ring became a "cover model" of the catalog of Heritage Auctions' jewelry auction in Dallas in October 2020. A buyer purchased this wonder of beauty for $975,000.
